About

After having worked in McKinsey’s Boston, New Jersey, and New York offices, Clarisse is now based in Paris. She is a member McKinsey’s partnership-service team (the firm’s equivalent of the executive committee), in which she oversees client services and serves as the client-committee lead, reporting to the Shareholders Council.

Clarisse leads McKinsey’s Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Retail Practices in Africa, Europe, and the Middle East and works in the leisure, apparel, luxury, and fashion industries. In addition, she coleads the firm’s Private Equity & Principal Investors Practice in these sectors at the European level, working mainly with African and European private-equity companies.

With a core expertise in large-scale transformations, Clarisse works with leading CPG, retailer, agribusiness, food-service (such as restaurant chains and caterers), luxury-good, and tourism companies. She helps clients with various challenges, such as international expansion, external growth, digitization of the business model, marketing and commercial strategies, and optimization of operations at scale.

A specialist in the agricultural sector, Clarisse created and now leads the McKinsey’s Agriculture Practice in France. She supports clients operating throughout the entire value chain, from production to transformation and distribution.

Clarisse also manages the firm’s circular-economy work globally, collaborating with pioneering companies on the subject and codesigning innovative models. She is the driving force behind McKinsey’s research initiatives in this field and is the coauthor of several reports and publications on plastics, waste, food transition, and how artificial intelligence can contribute to new circular-economy models. She is also an expert in sustainability topics throughout the consumer sectors in Europe. In this capacity, she sits on McKinsey’s knowledge committee.

Clarisse serves as chair of Generation France, an independent not for profit that tackles global youth employment. Today, it is the world’s largest demand-driven employment program in number of annual graduates.
