About Damien

Damien is the leader of McKinsey’s Healthcare Systems & Services Practice in Australia. He has extensive experience in serving healthcare entities, both public and private, in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Damien also leads both McKinsey’s health-analytics-and-delivery and private-health-insurance teams across Asia.

Damien works with leaders in the healthcare industry to undertake strategic transformations, improve their productivity, and enhance their operational effectiveness and outcomes. His experience spans the public sector–at both the federal and state government levels–and the private sector, including health insurance, health providers, and pharmaceuticals.

Damien’s key focus is on healthcare productivity, having covered in-hospital operations, improper payments, service reconfiguration, operating model reform, and IT optimization. He also has deep expertise in digital health, including the design of telehealth trials, electronic medical-record strategy, and genomic-medicine and precision-medicine opportunities.

Damien is a Board member of the Royal Flying Doctors’ Service (Victoria).
