About Eckart

Eckart, based in Frankfurt, is a leader of our Organizational Practice in Germany. He is also a member of the McKinsey Global Institute Council, which advises on MGI research on global economic, business, and technology trends.

He focuses on a broad set of strategic and operational issues related to global banking. Eckart served a global bank on its operating model redesign and the digitization of key client processes. He also worked for regional banks helping them develop divisional strategies, change programs, and strategic scenarios to inform planning and stress-testing initiatives.

Eckart has co-led several research efforts, including MGI's New dynamics of financial globalization, Roadmap for integrating Europe's refugees, and a Window of opportunity for Europe as well as McKinsey reports on the Future of the Euro and The global banking industry: The triple transformation. He is a frequent speaker on the future of Europe and on global financial issues.

Prior to joining McKinsey, he held internships with McKinsey in Vienna and with leading German law firms in Hamburg and Düsseldorf. He also participated in a 2-year apprenticeship program at Siemens AG.
