About Eric

Eric is a partner in our Zurich office, which he joined in 2014. He helps leading chemicals and agriculture companies with challenges in strategy, transformation, organization, R&D, and marketing and sales.

Eric was previously based in our Cologne office, where he spent eleven years serving clients in the chemical, life sciences, and agribusiness industries. He led our support for operational improvements, restructurings, and organizational transformations for several clients, including five post-merger management programs affecting thousands of employees. He also served as the head of our Chemicals Practice in Germany and led our work on post-merger management in Europe.

Before rejoining McKinsey, Eric spent five years in leadership roles in strategy, planning, corporate development, and R&D portfolio and strategy at Syngenta.

Earlier in his career he worked as a scientist researching neural networks, machine learning, and bioinformatics. He holds a DPhil in mathematics from the University of Oxford and a master’s degree in mathematics and computer science from the University of Bonn.
