About Jukka

Jukka is a leader of the firm’s global energy and materials work. His work includes several large-scale transformational projects for leading companies in the power-generation sector, global multicommodity-mining companies, leading companies in the oil-and-gas sector, and industry leaders in agriculture and chemicals. He has led more than 200 client engagements in six continents.

Examples of Jukka’s recent client projects include the following:

  • leading a technology assessment and business-case development for a large 100 percent renewable-energy system and developing a plan to establish a new greenfield city for one million people
  • developing an end-to-end digital transformation, from diagnostic phase to build-operate-transfer-implementation support, across four business units
  • supporting large-scale up- and midstream capital projects in designing a value-maximizing setup, including the prefeasibility, feasibility, and execution phases, helping to turn around two problematic projects in the execution phase
  • leading the turnaround of a major global oil-and-gas company

Before joining McKinsey, Jukka worked as part of the commodity-trading team for a leading Scandinavian bank.
