Over the past 23 years with McKinsey, Rajat has worked in several geographies across Asia, Europe, and North America. Prior to 2017, he co-led our Operations Practice in the Asia-Pacific region.

Examples of Rajat’s client work include the following:

  • executing a large capital project for an Indian oil and gas company in less time than estimated, while building a central-projects capability

Rajat contributes to knowledge creation and policy debate toward enabling India to grow its GDP, especially in its manufacturing sector, and has partnered with automotive industry associations such as ACMA and SIAM in helping catalyze industry growth. He has also helped shape the quality transformation journey for micro, small, and medium enterprises in the country—in collaboration with Quality Council of India—by shaping the “zero effect, zero defect” initiative.

Rajat is the cofounder of TIME India Awards, a collaboration between McKinsey and TIME to recognize excellence and innovation in Indian manufacturing. He is also a founder and sponsor of Ashoka University, based in Delhi.
