Vladimir joined McKinsey’s Moscow Office in 2001. He Leads strategy, operations, and organization projects in mining, chemical, and oil & gas industries.

Examples of his work in mining and the chemical sector include:

  • a comprehensive operational efficiency-improvement and cost-reduction program for Russia’s largest gold mining and processing plant
  • supporting a new gold processing plant in reaching its rated capacity
  • supporting the USD 2+ billion construction of a major gold mining and processing plant
  • designing the expansion of a coal mining and processing plant, including geological and mining-operations modeling, reviewing solutions for transporting coal to port and an export port terminal construction option, including capex and opex assessment
  • optimizing design solutions for a new potash mine construction
  • implementing a long-term comprehensive program to improve the operational efficiency of mining and processing plants for a leading potash fertilizer producer, including debottlenecking, and productivity and recovery-ratio improvement programs
