Careers in Thailand

A career at McKinsey Thailand is an opportunity to collaborate on cutting-edge client work in a supportive environment.

Working at McKinsey in Thailand

In Thailand, the exposure for young, driven colleagues is exceptional. You will have the opportunity to learn and advance, in a small, tight-knit office where every colleague has an on-site mentor. Through hands-on training and our world-class professional development programs, you will be prepared to directly serve clients at the highest levels of private and public organizations.

McKinsey Thailand is an energetic, fast-growing office that is young at heart. As committed as we are to client success and professional growth, we also like to have fun. Our Lunch and Learn series is a chance for our team to learn about new and often, cutting-edge topics over a catered lunch. We also gather every Friday as an office to enjoy local Thai cuisine, catch up, and play games. We celebrate birthdays, milestones, and holidays, and often dress up for special occasions and festivals.

We are always on the lookout for exceptional people – wherever they may be. Our recruits are highly diverse. Although a majority of our colleagues hail from Thailand, others come from India, Russia, Scandinavia, and the United States, among other countries. Some of our recruits join us upon graduation from university, while others join us from industry. Our recruiting team in Bangkok is particularly interested in hiring professionals who have interned and/or worked in the business community and have the credentials to join us as junior associates or associates. Regardless of their background, native language, or experiences, all McKinsey recruits share a commitment to curiosity, problem solving, personal growth, and above all, client impact.

We are deeply committed to recruiting local talent and developing the next generation of leaders in Thailand. We recruit consulting analysts directly from local Thai universities. Over the course of a year, our consulting analysts learn more about the management-consulting industry and have the opportunity to build the business skills and personal qualities necessary to be considered for the role of business analyst at McKinsey. In 2016, we also founded the McKinsey Consulting Fellowship Program to prepare strong local talent for a career in management consulting.

Consulting Fellowship Program

McKinsey’s Consulting Fellowship Program (CFP) is a weekend retreat designed to prepare promising students and fresh graduates for a consulting career. Participants attend workshops, capability-building sessions, panel discussions, presentations by speakers, and social events. All participants are paired with a mentor and receive coaching. This is an excellent opportunity to network with exceptional people from Thailand, Myanmar, and Vietnam, grow your skills and potential, and identify ways to positively impact your home country. Some of our Consulting Analysts joined the firm after successfully completing the ASO CFP.

The CFP weekend workshop will be held next year in one of our Southeast Asia locations. Please check back for more information.
